18: Homecoming Video

 I make all the videos for my sorority, Tri Delta. This is my second year editing our homecoming video. The homecoming video is, without a doubt, my LEAST favorite video to edit. I dislike making this video for a few reasons, but mainly because I am executing ideas that are not my own. Typically, the videos I make for Tri Delt have complete control, but for homecoming, I have no part in the concept, filming, or overall vision. With that being said, here is the video. (I also had roughly an hour to do this).

Grief Part 1: Blog Post 7

My grandpa passed away this past week. Unfortunately, I was not in a suitable headspace to speak at his funeral. After his funeral, I felt like there were things I still wanted to say, so I just wrote a little something. Here it is.  My grandpa was the most brilliant man. He taught me so much throughout his life. The most important lesson being kindness. He always wanted to help others. Whether it be with a family or a stranger, my grandfather was patient and compassionate. He never wanted the attention on him, which really made him the ying to my yang (i.e. picture below). I've told myself a lot this past week that if only I had one more time with him, things would be better. But I realize that one more time would never be enough, and I would always be asking for more. So I'll save all my "one more times" for when I see you again grandpa. Until then I'll try to be a little more like you everyday .
